With 3 wins in 7 career starts, including a victory in the Grade 3 Transylvania Stakes in April at Keeneland, Night Prowler is the 3/1 morning line favorite for trainer Chad Brown. The son of Giant’s Causeway finished a game second last out in the Grade 3 Penn Mile Stakes behind next-out stakes winner Force the Pass. Night Prowler has hit the board in all seven starts, and is a multiple stakes-winner, having also won the Grade 3 Dania Beach Stakes at Gulfstream Park in January. Javier Castellano will ride with the pair set to break from post 4.

World Approval seeks stakes repeat

Second choice, World Approval (4/1), breaks from the rail after claiming the Grade 3 American Derby July 11 at Arlington Park for trainer Mark Casse. The gray or roan son of Northern Afleet also proved his quality by running third in the Grade 2 American Turf Stakes May 2 at Churchill, and has never finished worse than fourth in seven career starts.

Plenty of options for Brown

Brown, who has five entries in the race, will also saddle 5/1 choice Takeover Target – another runner with stakes experience, finishing fifth in the Grade 1 Belmont Derby last out. Takeover Target began his career with two wins before finishing second in the Pennine Ridge Stakes prior to the Belmont Derby.
