Free as a Bird tops the wide open field as the morning line favorite at odds of 2-1 for trainer Ian Wilkes. Bred and owned by Elizabeth Valando, the six-year-old daughter of Hard Spun has won nine times and is a multiple stakes winner. After winning six consecutive stakes races, her streak was snapped in her first start of the year when she finished fourth in the Giant’s Causeway Stakes at Keeneland in April. Chris Landeros will be aboard and they will break from post position six.

Shrinking Violet looms large after first graded stakes win

Second choice at 5-2 on the morning line is Shrinking Violet for trainer Wesley Ward. A five-year-old daughter of Congaree, the chestnut mare has won seven of her sixteen starts and is coming into this race off of the first graded stakes victory of her career. She won the Monrovia (G2) at Santa Anita last time out and will have Kent Desormeaux in the irons from post position eight.

Katie's Eyes looking for fourth straight win

Also in the field at morning line odds of 5-2 is Katie’s Eyes for trainer Michael Stidham. A four-year-old daughter of Leroidesanimaux (BRZ), she has been on the board in seven of her nine starts and is a four-time winner. She comes into this race off of a three-race win streak and won the Giant’s Causeway Stakes last time out. Florent Geroux will be aboard and they will break from post seven.
