Mosler has been tabbed as the morning line favorite in the wide-open field at odds of 3-1 for trainer Bill Mott. Purchased for $1.05 million as a yearling, he has won four of his nine starts and will be trying to earn the first graded stakes victory of his career. Last time out, he tried the turf for the second time and won the Elusive Quality Stakes at Belmont. Joel Rosario will be back in the irons and they will break from the outside post.
Power Alert (AUS) going for third win of the year
Second choice at 7-2 on the morning line is Power Alert (AUS) for trainer Brian Lynch. A gelded son of Alert (ARG), the five-year-old has won seven of his seventeen starts and has won three of his four North American starts after competing in his native country of Australia. He was last seen winning the Turf Sprint (G3) at Keeneland over nine rivals. John Velazquez will be aboard for the first time and they will break from the rail.
Helwan (FR) making United States debut
Also in the field at morning line odds of 6-1 is Helwan (FR) for trainer Chad Brown. A four-year-old son of Bernstein, he will be making his stateside debut and has been on the shelf since October but has been training steadily. With three wins to his credit, he has been on the board in all eight starts in France and will be competing with Lasix for the first time. Jose Ortiz will be aboard and they are scheduled to break from post position eight.
