Live horse racing in Colorado is run at Arapahoe Park in Aurora, Colorado. The track features a one mile oval and is home to classic thoroughbred stakes races including the Colorado Derby, the Arapahoe Park Sprint and The Inaugural.
In 2014 they have live racing Friday, Saturday and Sunday from May 29 until August 22 as well as on Memorial Day Monday. Horse racing enthusiasts can also wager on simulcast racing from the countries top racetracks seven days a week all year long from the climate controlled grandstand at the Arapahoe Racetrack.

Off Track Betting (OTB) Bureaus and simulcast wagering came to Colorado in 1991 when the Colorado government approved limited stakes gambling which resulted in relaxed gaming laws. Red & Jerry’s, also known as “the first facility in the United States to offer simulcast wagering at off-track wagering location, or multi-family dwellings”, is one of Colorado’s largest entertainment centers that features Off Track Betting, or OTB. The complex houses Colorado’s largest sports bar – the Fanatix Sports Grill – as well as private rooms for your meeting and entertainment pleasure.
